Randi Lane Maidman has over 25 years' experience litigating matters in federal and state courts, including the courts in New York, and in arbitrations. She has litigated general business disputes, with a focus on real estate and contract matters. She has experience in disparate fields of law including partnership disputes, copyright, insurance coverage, employment disputes, defamation, securities, health care, and toxic torts. Her work in employment law includes defending employment discrimination litigation and drafting employment manuals.
Randi has been associated with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP; Herrick Feinstein LLP; and Meister Seelig and Fein LLP. She served as Associate General Counsel of the Charter Schools Institute, where she interpreted education laws (including the Charter Schools Act), advised the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York, investigated complaints, and reviewed management agreements and leases.
Randi received her B.A. from Washington University, Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in Political Science, and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She interned for the Honorable Stanley S. Harris of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Randi is a member of New York Bar and the Bars of the United States Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
